The wind has eased off today so it was back to Neil Pryde Maui to change some kit. I opted for the Thommen X85 and changed the Combat 4.1 for a 5.4. The Thommens are the lighter choice as they don't have a heavy lump of plastic as a nose protector like the JPs, but there was only 3 of them so it was first come first served.

Sprecks was becoming our favourite as there was far less coral related injuries occuring. The drop in the waves meant most of us were doing the bump and jump stuff. I stuck to heli tacks and 360's but bottled loops without wetsuit protection (feeble excuse I know). Robby Swift came out on freestyle kit and put us all to shame. It's amazing how he stayed planing when everyone was wobbling.

The wind died off in the end and Robby came in to chat telling us about getting drilled surfing at Jaws - good to see even the pros have a healthy resect for the elements.
